An accomplished academician as well as an industry expert Dr. A. N. N. Murthy took charge on June 2, 2010. Dr. A. N. N. Murthy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University. He has a Master’s Degree (ME) in Mechanical Engineering with specializing in Machine Design. He was awarded PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. He has had a career spanning 36 years which includes academia, research as well as industry. He has served as the Chairman, Board of Examination for Industrial Engg. and Management, Board of Examination for Mechanical Engg., Expert Member of LIC,VTU, Chairman Sub-committee for evaluating R&D projects in Mechanical Engg., and Member of Main Committee to evaluate R&D projects in Engg. and Science. He is also a member of a number of national level committees viz., Core Group on implementation of Micro Hydro Power Plants, Alternative Fuel Panel and Member for Assessing Industries etc.
